The Mahoney Family Fund is dedicated to the well-being of children and families. In collaboration with many nonprofits and businesses, The Fund works to mitigate child abuse and domestic violence.
On October 9 2025, we gathered for an evening of Remembrance and Purpose in honor of the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Hugh, Ruth & John Mahoney. Friends and family came together at the Indian Ridge Country Club for this very special Tribute. Maureen Mahoney gave the opening welcome with stories of her parents and brother and the mission of the Mahoney Family Fund.
Former Boston Police Commissioner, Ed Davis and District Attorney, Marian Ryan reflected on the past 50 years and the need to address violence in our communities, especially when it impacts children.
The Mahoney Family Fund celebrates its 10-year anniversary and Maureen spoke of the need for how we, as a society, need to change mindsets around discipline. Child abuse afflicts homes across all communities and rethinking discipline is an essential component of ending this crisis.
